Due to new business and increased client demand, we are looking to hire a
Recruitment Associate
to join the team. In this role, you will manage recruitment pipelines, source candidates, build relationships with industry professionals and contribute to our continued growth as a business.
As the first hire for Catalyst, your role will be focused on candidate recruitment and placements with the opportunity for growth into client management and recruitment/hiring strategy.
Our primary recruitment practice area is Marketing & Communications, and you will have the opportunity to develop expertise and a network within this space. Communications has had a fundamental shift in how the function is viewed within organizations during the Pandemic and the demand for hiring is great. We work on retained search mandates from mid to senior and executive to C Suite level, so you will have the opportunity to support the hiring and placements of candidates from peers to senior business leaders within the industry.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires an organized and detail-oriented person. A background in an Admin role or experience within the marketing or communications industry is an asset.

Position Details
Reports to:
Carly-Anne Fairlie - CEO & Executive Recruiter
Responsibilities:
First 3 months:
Partner with Recruitment Lead to fill roles based on client requisitions
Begin to learn the industry landscape / develop network
Develop long lists of candidates as per the search mandate
Actively hunt for passive candidates using online databases and social media
Write attractive job descriptions and assist in managing job postings for roles you are assigned to fill
Join Recruitment Lead on client briefings, candidate pre screenings and interviews
Start to manage projects including scheduling, updating ATS and database, moving and exiting candidates from the process, completing references
Assist with phone screens and candidate interviews, presenting qualified candidates to the Recruitment Lead
After 3 months:
Involved in end-to-end recruitment process from briefing to offer stage and close
Understand the industry landscape and have begun to develop a network of candidates
Project management of the hiring process including scheduling interviews, getting & delivering feedback, moving candidates through the process, updating ATS
Actively recruit and continue to develop pipeline of candidates for any roles you are working on
Bring ideas to the table, think outside the box and find ways to attract best-in-class talent for our clients
Involved in new business brainstorms and pitches
Conducting searches on LinkedIn for candidates
Qualifying candidates over the phone
Writing candidate profiles to present to clients
Coordinating and facilitating interview processes
Creating detailed Opportunity Specs for new searches
Researching the latest trends in communications, PR and marketing
Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills, spoken and written
Organized with excellent attention to detail
Ambitious, dedicated and hard-working
Autonomous and entrepreneurial
Able to manage multiple simultaneous processes
Strong prioritisation and time management skills
Resilient and resourceful
Demonstrated interest in communications, marketing or advertising
Prior experience in recruitment and PR & communications is an asset.
Compensation:
Target base salary $40,000 per annum + bonus
