Contract up to 4 months starting MAY 2026
This role may require availability for various shifts, for example 08h00 to 16h00, 10h00 to 18h00 or 11h00 to 19h00.
Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Working from May to August, Summer Students are required throughout our operational and administrative departments.
What will I be doing?
Provide administrative support to the Office Administrator and Duty Station Managers and senior leadership
Assist with Major Track Closure planning and events
Deployment of signage throughout the Union Station Campus
Platform Assistance: Helping passengers navigate the platform safely. Assisting guests on the platform wayfinding and information. Helping with crowd control.
Customer Service: Assisting guests at the TVMs with ticket purchases and information. Assisting guests on the platform with ticket purchases and information. Providing directions, general inquiries and information about train schedules.
Special Projects as required
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
Must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution and be returning to an academic institution
Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution.
Note: certain positions require the wearing of Protective Footwear (i.e. Safety Boots or Shoes) to be purchased at your cost
Strong familiarity with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.),
Unique requirements of the role
Must be able to stand and walk during long periods of time
This role may require you to work outside in all weather conditions and during peak events, such as CNE and other events
First Aid Training will be provided
