Position Details:
Woodstock, ON
Permanent, Full Time
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Hybrid role opportunity
Required to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week
Ability to work flexible hours outside of regular office hours may be required for maintenance activities
Responsibilities:
Design and architect scalable AI/ML systems and infrastructure that support both Azure cloud and on-premises GPU environments
Develop strategic roadmaps for AI capability adoption, balancing innovation with practical implementation and organizational readiness
Define and implement standards for model governance, performance monitoring, ethics, and data privacy compliance
Lead the design of RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestration frameworks for production applications
Collaborate with data engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems
Evaluate and recommend AI frameworks, tools, and platforms suitable for various use cases and maturity stages
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on AI/ML best practices and emerging technologies
Identify high-impact AI opportunities that deliver quantifiable business value and support strategic objectives

Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in AI/ML architecture, applied data science, or AI systems engineering
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
Proven experience designing and implementing AI/ML systems in production environments.
Deep expertise in Python and modern ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar)
Strong understanding of LLM application development including RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures and technical roadmaps
Strong knowledge of AI governance, model monitoring, and data privacy best practices
Experience in PostgreSQL and PGVector or similar Vector / Relational DBs
Experience with structured data vector parsing, DevOps CI/CD Pipelines
Experience building AI practices from inception, including organizational change management for emerging technologies is considered an asset
Hands-on experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, DSPy, or custom equivalents) is preferred
Knowledge of MLOps, model lifecycle management, and AI observability tools is preferred
Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or multi-agent orchestration standards is considered an asset
Background in highly regulated industries (telecom, finance, healthcare, utilities) is considered an asset
