The Opportunity

. In this role, you'll join our collaborative Surface Water team and contribute to real monitoring, data analysis, and field logistics that support watershed health across Ontario. You'll gain practical skills, work alongside experienced hydrotechnical professionals, and make a visible impact in the communities we serve.

What You'll Do
Field Support:
Assist with streamflow monitoring, install water-level/flow sensors, and complete basic survey benchmarks under supervision.
Data Workflows:
Maintain precise field notes; download, organize, and QA/QC monitoring data; support development of rating curves and technical figures.
Logistics & H&S:
Help prepare Job Safety Analyses and field packages; coordinate equipment, travel, and site access.
Reporting Support:
Prepare short memos, tables, and photo logs for client deliverables.
What You'll Bring
You are currently enrolled in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Science/Technology, Geography (GIS), or a related program, and returning to school after this work term.
Experience with stream gauging, surveying, or environmental sampling.
Comfort with Excel and basic data plotting; GIS familiarity is an asset.
Valid G/G2 driver's licence and comfort driving to field sites.
First Aid/CPR, boating experience, or remote travel exposure.
Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions, lift/carry field gear (~50 lb), and travel within Ontario.
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:
$24.00 - $32.25/hour
MB & ON:
$22.50 - $30.25/hour
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:
$21.50 - $30.25/hour
